We've collected the most common questions about using Bukio, pricing and data protection.
Getting started and setup
Sign up on our website, add your restaurant, set up your booking times and tables – and you can share your reservation form link right away. During the trial period you can try every feature.
No. Bukio is a cloud-based system you can access from any device with an internet connection (computer, tablet, smartphone) via a browser. Restaurant staff can also use the Bukio mobile app.
Logging in uses a one-time code (OTP) sent by email. The code is valid for 3 minutes; after it expires you can request a new one.
Yes. The reservation form can be shared as a direct link, embedded as a widget, or via a WordPress plugin. You'll find the details on the Integration page of the admin interface.
Reservations and notifications
Yes. You can configure the system to send a booking confirmation, reminder, feedback request, as well as cancellation/deletion notices. These are transactional (non-marketing) messages and can be turned on or off per restaurant.
The reservation is still recorded and manageable. After a successful booking the guest is taken to the Reservations page (bukio.hu/foglalasok), where they can view the reservation by its identifier and – if enabled – cancel it.
Yes, if the restaurant allows it. The guest can handle cancellation/deletion on the Reservations page or via the button in the confirmation email.
Yes. A single account can manage multiple restaurants and rooms, each with its own opening hours, capacity limits and booking rules.
Yes, you can set up a custom thank-you page. In that case the guest is taken to the external address you provide after booking, instead of the built-in Reservations page.
Pricing and billing
1 calendar month from registration, with full functionality and no card details required. You can cancel any time during the trial with no further obligation.
With tiered pricing, based on the total number of bookings recorded in the given month. Indicative tiers: Start (up to 50 bookings/month) is free, followed by the Alap, Pro and Üzleti tiers. Current fees are listed on the Pricing page; prices are net amounts.
Invoicing is currently handled manually, based on an invoice issued by Bukio, paid by bank transfer. Online card payment is not available yet; we will inform you in advance of its introduction.
No. A paid subscription is created only with your explicit acceptance (accepting a price tier or paying the invoice); there is no automatic charge.
Data protection and policies
For reservation data, the Restaurant is the data controller and Bukio acts as a data processor. The details are set out in the Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Agreement (DPA).
The system can generate a guest-facing privacy notice from the company details you provide. The restaurant, as the data controller, is responsible for its legality and content; it is advisable to have it reviewed by a lawyer before use.
On Bukio's own pages we only use cookies necessary for operation. If a restaurant connects an external tool to its booking page (e.g. Google Analytics, Meta Pixel), managing the cookie banner and consent is the restaurant's responsibility.
For data protection enquiries you can contact us at privacy@bukio.hu. Guest requests should primarily be submitted to the restaurant concerned, as it is the data controller.
